Matchmaking still relevant in Malaysia?

I make many excuses. My mum insisted I go for dinner. My dad came along.Surprise.A guy.The guy with his parents came.I wish the ground would open up.I wasn’t prepared.I was in a pair of jeans and simple t-shirt.

I didn’t spill any food.I sat up very straight.Good table manners. Our parents gossiped. Both of us very quiet.I don’t know how to feel.He looks ok.Good job.His parents ok,his mum expensively dressed.I look at my sandals style pasar malam.

Did we have to go through this?

Mom:…. is a good girl.Stay home all the time.Works at xxxxxxx.Studied at xxxxxx.I thought she was going to say I snore.Like I not there.

The other mum:He my only son….blablabla.

If anything happens, this blog will be my secret. It is like my diary.Say things I can’t say to anybody.I earn my own money.I don’t want to give up this life.

I want to achieve success.I studied many long years.I don’t need kids.

Mum:now all the kids are grown it would be nice to take care of grandchildren.

She never took care of me.Always got orang gaji. Her hair, her fingernails, beauty sleep. But she is a good mum.Guy and me should just go somewhere.Away from my mum,I pretend to be a very bad girl.Talk about all my ‘boyfriends’.There was this boy in kindy, then in Primary school snigger snigger. But I won’t do that.I don’t know what to do.He really is not too bad.

I just cant talk back to my mum.She is always right. If I disagree with her,she will tell everybody how sick she is.

And KY says I talk like a housewife! But maybe only he reads my posts.Maybe he is telling me I too old already.I am NOT READY to marry.

the talk about my boyfriends thing.

usually that doesn’t work because you will end up liking him and he will end up knowing you are making up stories.

or maybe i am just so terpengaruh with those movies.

but sometimes these matchmaking do works. sometimes only. :)

    Hey…for that entry, mmmm.
I suggest you to read book with title “Why Men Marry Some Women and Not Others”.
Boleh dapat di MPH, or maybe di Kinokuniya.
    Selamat membaca!
