When you are 10,you can’t wait to have a developed body.By the time you are 20,you crave for that perfectly toned figure.3o’s and you will start combating a slowing metabolism.40 and above,we start to worry about sag and after that just be grateful to be alive.

Cardio work is relevant for all age groups.It keeps away heart disease and premature death among both men and women.

Before starting any exercise program,see a doctor.

Suggested cardio techniques:vary them occasionally so that you won’t feel bored and unmotivated.

1. Cardio work.30 minutes a session,3times a week.Good figure,strengthen heart and lungs,increase bone mass,lower cholesterol levels,improve immune system and mood.

2. Power walking:30 minutes of brisk walking will do wonders and almost as many calories as jogging.Easier on the joints and puts a spring in the step.I don’t recommend slopes or hill climbing unless you are fit.

3.Tennis/badminton/squash:Your waistline will delight you.Lowered blood pressure and reduced risk of heart disease.

4. Swimming:Perfect for all ages.Maximise muscle capacity while there is least risk of injury.Spice up time in the pool with water aerobics,underwater jogging.Promotes improved flexibilty, cardiovascular endurance,strength and circulation.Plus nice v-shaped body.

5. Yoga/pilates
Low intensity workout with high-powered results.Improves flexibility with breathing exercise,exercise,strengthening and stretching moves.Relieve lower back pain,increase lung capacity and joints supple.Delay onset of osteoporosis
