Life as a hostess in a mens’ club

geisya

Life for those who work in Japan’s hostess clubs
has always intriqued me in a naughty way.In my younger days I dreamed of geishas as models of breeding, culture and exceptional beauty.

Abortion legalized in Mexico City

Mexico City’s legislative assembly has voted to make abortion legal in Mexico City.It is also the capital of the world’s second-largest Roman Catholic country.Lawmakers voted 46 to 19 in favour of the bill that will permit abortions of pregnancies in the first 12 weeks.

Prior to this abortion was permitted only in cases of rape, grave medical reasons or if there were signs of severe defects in the foetus.

Abortion is a sensitive word.It evokes emotions and concepts of judgement, religion and blame. In my opinion, abortion should be allowed but only in cases of extreme mental or medical duress. To abort a child is almost a little like murder. To legalize it is to open the floodgates.

I may be green but my stand is once a child is conceived in the womb,it is a being and a creature of God.We should respect its life and not kill it arbitrarily. At the same time, for our country,girls/women should have access to information about sex. There is no dearth of couples willing to adopt.

They should have been more cautious if they didn’t want a child.I may sound like a spoiled do-gooder but a life is still a life no matter how you look at it.

Wife killed on way to help husband

It is a sad story. After her husband’s car landed in a ditch, the wife rushed over to help her husband. In her haste and confusion, she didn’t notice a car coming and was killed.

“I told her not to come to the site as I was fine. But she came anyway because she was worried,” said Lim Yok Moi’s distraught husband Neoh Chin Guan, 44.

They have no children.I can imagine the inconsolable loss the husband must be feeling.Possibly some guilt too. How unfair life is sometimes :(

Cho Seung-hui’s family says sorry over senseless killing

A Tribute to Virginia Tech
Uploaded by DonVitoCorleone

Cho Seung-hui’s family says sorry to the families of the victims of the senseless massacre on Virginia Tech university. To be fair to them ,they are probably just as shocked as every body else.

The family said it had been “living a nightmare” since the attack.Cho’s sister made the following statement,”Our family is so very sorry for my brother’s unspeakable actions. It is a terrible tragedy for all of us.We never could have envisioned that he was capable of so much violence. We pray for their families and loved ones who are experiencing so much excruciating grief. And we pray for those who were injured and for those whose lives are changed forever because of what they witnessed and experienced. Each of these people had so much love, talent and gifts to offer, and their lives were cut short by a horrible and senseless act.”

There is no winner. All are losers in this scenario. How could a man like him carry out this plan of his?How could his madness be undetected? It cuts away at the very fabric of civilization as we know it.

But the blame should not be put on the family or South Koreans or even ethnic Asians. He is a loose cannon. He is also 23 years old and has been in America for fourteen years. The system tried to help him. They detected his madness. His girlfriend tried to help.Even the counselor was shot dead.Nothing could have prevented him from carrying out this act.He was not normal and guns are freely available in America.

It was a madness. There is no benefit in pointing fingers. It is a credit to America there has been no backlash against the South Korean community. My condolences to all the families and friends of the victims of the Virginia Tech university massacre.

Pink Suzie blasts PTA over oral sex in school toilet issue

The reaction
by a parent in a secondary school in Kangar leaves me fuming. He was blasting a school for not taking disciplinary action against a Form3 girl and a Form5 boy for having oral sex in the school’s toilet. While not condoning the act,it is a storm in a tea cup.

Is it not enough this two minors were caught in the act?The public ridicule, the loss of face, parental backlash, threats of a bleak doomed future? What do the parents want?Strip them naked, parade them around town and then give them a whipping?I challenge the parent to examine himself/herself.If he/she really piously is doing it for the sake of better discipline for the school suposedly because his/her child is there:there are other avenues and means. What are the motives?

Get real. Many are doing it outside schools. Are the parent themselves leading faultless, unblemished lives.Let the one who has not sinned cast the first stone.I have no doubt the couple has breached some school rules but enough is enough. This public outcry and pseudo public lynching must stop.

The school has indicated rightly it will raise the matter with the department before taking action.
