My termites infestation problem
It all started with the purchase of my new cupboard from Bali. It looked so beatiful and cost me a fortune. It was made from very old recycled wood with a beautiful sheen and texture. I didn’t check it properly. I did notice some saw dust but I thought nothing of it. Six months later I knew I had a problem. It had started attacking my floor boards and door and window frames in the room. I tried many news to solve the problem to no avail.
I tried rubbing the affected areas with kerosene. I threw away the cupboard but it was too late. I risked losing my home to termites. It had already spread. I knew I had a big problem.
Then a friend told me of a guide to getting rid of termites infestations. I am so glad it helped me solve my problem. This website gave me the know-how I needed to fight my enemy-the termites. Check it out if you have the same problem as me.

Of naivety and foolishness
Religion is a powerful tool. It can shape the destiny of nations and make mankind do things they wouldn’t do or even think of doing. Thus a man of the cloth is sort of equipped with a shiny armor on his body. Society has many expectations of him.
A blog like pinksuzie usually talks of frivolous stuff so it is not my place to write of religious conflicts all over the world. Today’s post is about perception and trust. When we meet a man of the cloth, we expect him/her to be endowed with all the qualities that religions expect them to have. I personify them to be God’s representative on earth.
What I forget is that they are also human. It is through no deliberate fault of theirs. It is mine. I am too trusting. I treat them as a superior beings whereas in reality they are just struggling to maintain a sense of decorum and correct standing in the community. In other words they are trying their best and we should not fault them if they fail occasionally to meet the standards we set of them.
I liken it to a relationship between a father and a child. The father tries his best but in the end many a father has grieved over sons who have gone astray. A man of the cloth should not be judged by his flock for the simple reason a human being has a mind of his own. He can do things even when explicitly asked not to.
I now go one rung lower. The brethren. The ones with good intentions to help a fellow brother/sister. They are not trained to counsel or are well equipped with verses. They can be found on the fringes of religious gatherings of any sort barely noticed but they are the ones who are indispensable to the organization.
Brothers and sisters, a journey through life with or without religion is precarious. It is a man’s lot to fulfill his religious obligations but at the same time watch out for pitfalls and obstacles which may exist or pop up along the way to protect himself and his family.
A man comes and a man goes when his allotted time is up. The aging process starts from the day he is born. The holy scriptures have endured the ravages of time. Listen, read and think. Judge and reason based on the holy scriptures for the fashions of man do change according to circumstances.
Stay true to the scriptures.
Some of you may be wondering why I am writing this post in this manner. It is because I recall my journey. My long journey searching and never finding what I had been looking for. How it was so easy for some as a simple declaration, “I do” whereas for me a Simple Simon I never had that ability to cast away all doubts and suspicions.
Along the long and often painful journey and which still hurts I have met many with good intentions and some with other intentions.
Some experiences :
a.Aiya he is always like that.
b.Don’t waste your time on him.
c.It is easier for a fool to enter the Kingdom of God than him.
d.Don’t mind him. He just drama only.
e.He has no faith. He has to have faith to believe. He has to believe to have faith.
f. He is not one of us.
g.Some people huh are born pre-destined to be out of the loop aka the faith.
h.He got to changelah. Must fit in.
i. He shouldn’t think like that. He should be thinking of how he can serve others rather than the other way around.
j. I went to a gathering Mr Anonymous and returned home Mr Anonymous although I had tried to look meek, non threatening and unassuming and stood in a noticeable part of the lobby after the gathering.

The price of flour stays says Shafie
Flour price stays, don’t raise price of roti canai, warns Shafie
What a relief it is to read the statement that the price of flour will not be raised. If the price of flour is raised it will hurt the average consumer who is already reeling from the increase in price of so many items already.
I don’t think it is wrong to say that the average family is thinking twice before making purchases and are now planning their expenses more diligently. It is no joke to receive a fixed income every month while the price of goods keep increasing and there are mouths to feed.
The civil servants must be feeling frustrated now as they see their wage increase diminish almost daily. Personally I see no way the government can afford to keep subsidizing the price of petroleum indefinitely. Once the price of petroleum increases, there will be another round of inflation.
What I advise to all Malaysians is to sit tight, tighten their belts and just pray that the government will delay the increase in petroleum prices for as long as possible. As for me, I am already reducing my expenditure so much, I can’t see how I can further reduce my expenditure.
After all, I am not spending anything on luxuries at the moment.
For me, I am practicing substitute economy. This means to increase my spending power, I look for substitutes which are cheaper. I buy fish and vegetables in season which is cheaper. Foreign goods especially from the developed world are a no-no for me now. I substitute wih goods from China and Indonesia.

Son allegedly kills and burns his mother in Rifle Range, Penang
A divorcee was doused with petrol and burnt alive barely 30m from her flat in Rifle Range here.
I really cannot accept how this could have happened. No mother deserves this fate. There was talk of RM30 000 in a bank account. I can only hope the son is a drug dependent or something. At least we can then say he was crazed by the drug. What could have possessed him to do such a thing?
Granted that poverty drives people to do strange things but they were living in Penang. Penang has loads of employment opportunities.
Police have detained her son in connection with the incident which occurred around 3.30am Wednesday.
A security guard at the flats Abdul Rahman Abdullah, 67, said,
“Upon checking, I saw a fire and quickly fetched a pail of water to put it out. I was shocked to see a charred body.â€
Did he believe he could hide the evidence by burning her body? Did he hate her so much? I can only think of a verse suitable for this dastardly act, Anak Derhaka
Too many such incidents have been happening recently. There was the Teh Ying Ying incident, the Singaporean who was murdered and his remains kept in the refrigerator, the single mother who was doused with petrol and burnt and countless others.
Is it a sign of difficult times facing the people of Malaysia especially financial problems?
